Our Review… Wren Darlington lives on a remote ranch with her adopted ‘uncle’ and does the best to hide her abilities, but with her smart mouth and perfect aim with a gun she quickly draws attention to herself. Wren is a Mod, she has the ability to link telepathically with other gifted citizens, but to do so means death or certainly imprisonment in forced labour camps. Coerced to join the Continent’s elite Silver Block amongst the turmoil of competing for her survival with other venomous Prime recruits. Against her better judgment she reluctantly finds friendship in the academy and can’t get the charismatic and strictly off limit’s enemy Commander Cross Redden out of her head. Wren’s a fabulous gritty anti-heroine of a character, savage and angry, and ready to blast everyone to hell.
